Well, its time for a recap and a look forward for the Chargers- who annoyed the entire country with the beating of the Colts in the playoffs- denying the USA its cherished Colts Pats matchup. It seems like every time we make the playoffs, some moron back east takes exception to us. here are the facts- the Chargers are a great team now, we are not going anywhere, and its sunny and 70 degrees again. We heard the same thing when everyone wanted the Cubs-Tigers w.s. matchup in 1984. Id rather watch the Padres anytime over the Cubs. how dare we WIN????? GET USED TO IT... See Steelers fans booking Super Bowl flights n 1994- before the Chargers ruined it for all the coal miners by winning at 3 Rivers.

After coming within a couple possesions of making the Super Bowl, San Diego is poised to make another playoff run. AJ Smith and Norv Turner are making sure that the team system continues, replacing parts along the way. anyone who remembers the debacle that was bobby bethard will appreciate this approach. personally, i would rather lose a playoff game every year than go 1-15, see Mike Riley. or Kevin Gilbride.
Look for the Bolts to add some depth at OL and in the secondary, and perhaps a RB in case LT is still feeling the knee. Speaking of LT, anyone who questions LT's toughness has not been paying attention. LT ran like a fine tuned Ferrari for his entire career, finally giving out in his 7th season. All running backs eventually wear down, and if LT played fpr the Patriots, no one would have ever said a word about it. East coast fans tend to miss Charger games- my own uncle would not watch the Broncos Chargers game on mnf in december 2007- "im just not interested", while knowing that his nephew was in the stands. As most Bostonians are too busy making another Dunkin Donuts trip anyways, the best thing the Chargers can do is keep apperaing on their radar. Live to Annoy...
Hell- i watch the Patriots on national tv- regardless. until the Chargers win 3 super bowls- we will continue to get no respect from the cold coast. even then, i doubt that many NFL fans will look at us with respect. its like we must pay for the fact that we chose to live somewhere NICE. If Braintree sucks so bad- move.
