No Surgery...
So Kobe has decided to forego surgery on the torn ligament in his pinkie on his shooting hand because doctors told him he could miss up to 12 weeks. That would put his return in late November, with the possibility of being even longer if his recovery is slowed by complications. Some people might call him stupid, others might call him a warrior, all I know for sure is that he has finally become a leader and team player. He cited training camp as a major reason as well as the expectations for the upcoming season. He said that training camp is an important time to bond with his teammates and doesn't want to miss any of it. While it's scary to think he'll be going through an entire season with this injury, it is also exciting to see him put the team before himself. Stay tuned in the upcoming weeks as i break down the Lakers. In a few days, Sacto and GSW.
