Now That's More Like it...
Hey, maybe Kobe reads my blog. Lol. Yeah right. Whatever has happened since Nov. 21 when I wrote that the Lakers (in jest mind you) should trade #24, well, he’s started to play much better. He’s still taking around 18-20 shots a game, but his looks (with the exception of a few) have been much cleaner. That 12-18 performance against Denver is how he should be playing every night. He’ll get plenty of easy buckets if he moves the ball. I also like how Kobe’s looking to go for more steals and blocks. Speaking of great play, how about Trevor Ariza. Amazing. He posted a double double (11 points and 11 rebounds) and tossed in 5 assists and 3 steals with only a single turnover. Plus, he got banged in the head, not once, but twice, and instead of get up and act like a thug, he simply got up like nothing hurt him. Super man. Let’s hope the hot shooting from the Space Cadet continues. He’s now 10-16 in his last three games. That’s half of his total number of makes from beyond the arc in three games. Back to back double doubles for the big fella (Andrew Bynum). Kudos. Keep working hard kid, though, six turnovers is scary. I guess since I’ve been getting down on Kobe for his shot selection, I need to reprimand Mr. Fisher about his shooting woes. Of all the guys on the team who should be averaging at least 10 shots a game, Fisher is not one of them. I love him, but pare down the shots please. And finally, one love for LO. In his last 5 games, Lamar has been shooting a scalding 68 percent from the field and contributing across the board, the 1.4 steals and 1.1 blocks are icing on the Odom Cake. Keep up the good work team.
