The National Basketball Association exhibits two kinds of NBA players.  One is the wildebeast. The other is the lion.  What do you mean?

I mean that there are players in the National Basketball Association's Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trailblazers, Los Angeles Clippers, Seattle Sonics, Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, New Orleans, and I apologize if I left anyone out, who cow towe to team owners, peer groups, and making money, glitz, glamor, being effeminate, etc.  There are also professional basketball players who cow towe to their concept of self.  They always go to their strength.  Their strength resides in their hearts and minds. They believe in who they are because they know who they are.  Money, team owners, peer groups, glitz, glamor, being effeminate, etc. are particles of dust when juxtaposing them to their desire to perform to their greatest abilities as a professional basketball player.

Denver Nugget, Carmelo Anthony, smiled when he was fouled by a San Antonio Spurs player during a game last week.  Meanwhile, a Spur rebounded Anthony's shot.  He whizzed a pass to a teammate.  The teammate passed to another teammate.  Then, a Spur dunked the ball.

I was trained to always get back on defense while I was playing in high school during the late 1950's, regardless of who fouled me, or not.  When the ball is not in my team's hands, it has to be in the other's team's hands.  "Get back!  Get back!  Get back!"  Coach Bill Gogan hollered at us.

Now, Anthony, his fourth year as a professional basketball, would rather be pissed off about being fouled without a call, lope back on defense, where his man, dunks the ball for two points, and smile about how wronged he was.  Well, check out any Detroit Piston, any San Antonio Spur, any player on any team that wins, and you will see them racing back to get on defense.

Donald L. Vasicek, a Denver area resident, watched the first Denver Broncos' football game in 1960.  Then, the Broncos wore vertically-striped socks.  Vasicek, owner of Olympus Films+, LLC, an award-winning film company, has watched ever Denver Bronco game since that first one in 1960.  Vasicek said, "My brother and I went to old Mile High Stadium (originally known as Bears Stadium) on a cold, snowy Bronco-Kansas City Chiefs game in 1960.  We were unable to see fans in the stands, partially due to the blizzard, and partially due to the fact that hardly no one else was there.  In the end, the Broncos lost by a field goal that was kicked by the Chiefs tight end, a name that escapes me at the moment."

James Arthur, a Denver Broncos fan for the past thirty-seven years, sees the only way the Denver Broncos can compete with the likes of the New England Patriots is to gut the squad.  He said, "The Broncos need to replace ten players with ten topflight players. One linebacker, two defensive backs, four down lineman, and three offensive lineman are the positions which need to be improved in order to get the Broncos back in line for a Super Bowl."
