(2-3) Cincinnati Bengals at
(4-2) Atlanta Falcons
This would have been an awesome game... last season. Instead, the struggling Bengals are about to get a large helping of a good team. Michael Turner could go off against their defense, but I'm looking for Roddy White to have a big day. Behind Baltimore and Pittsburgh in the standings, these Bengals are running out of time. Carson Palmer circa 2005, where are you?
(4-2) Philadelphia Eagles at
(4-2) Tennessee Titans
Kevin Kolb gets the start after two solid performances for Andy Reid, ensuring more QB controversy this week whether he plays well or not. The Eagle offensive line gets tested versus a Titan front seven that has been hitting the opposing QB with reckless abandon while their defense gets to see Chris Johnson. Yippee.
(4-1) Pittsburgh Steelers at
(3-2) Miami Dolphins
As good as the Dolphins seem to be, I just can't see them knocking off Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers today. They're just not good enough. Their secondary is average and their offense can't put up enough points on this Steeler defense to keep it close. Chad Henne will likely throw a poor interception or two.
(3-2) Arizona Cardinals at
(3-2) Seattle Seahawks
First place in the second shoddiest division in the NFL will go to the winner of today's game. Seattle's at home. 'Nuff said. Pfft.
(4-1) New England Patriots at
(2-4) San Diego Chargers
I hesitated to even put this game in the article. This can't be close. The Chargers can't hang with the Pat' offense and their special teams are likely to make bone-headed plays with consistency. I'd say keep an eye on Tom Brady's stat line, but I think Belichick's going to try and establish the run.
(2-3) Minnesota Vikings at
(3-3) Green Bay Packers
Some ye olden quarterback heads back to Lambeau Field this Sunday night, and he's bringing Randy Moss with him. The Packers are ripe for the picking with as many injuries as they've sustain lately, but I'm hoping with all I have that they can keep the Favre train in the station. (Could be a good euphemism.)
(4-2) New York Giants at
(1-4) Dallas Cowboys
So... is THIS the game the Cowboys need to win or their season's over? Me say yes. 1-5 doesn't make the playoffs. The Giants are picking up steam after a rough start and can pick the bones of a division rival with a win today. Go get 'em Eli.
