Thanksgiving. It’s a day of relaxing, stuffing your face and watching football. For me, it’s another Sunday during the NFL season, only with more people around. Before you chow down, I’m here to prepare you for the turkey day action… which might be the worst match-up’s I’ve ever seen on Thanksgiving, thanks to Dallas’ inadequacy.

So dumb.
(8-2) New England Patriots at
(2-8) Detroit Lions
Always a good one to start the day, the Detroit Lions shouldn’t have any trouble getting pounded by the Pats. Without Matthew Stafford under center the Lions are going to struggle to put up points, despite the inexperience of the Patriot secondary. Does anyone really think this game is going to be less than a ten-point win for Tom Brady? Sure, it LOOKS like one of those games the Patriots might not take seriously, but they’ve already had that game recently when they lost to Cleveland. They’re not doing it again so soon. This should be over by halftime.
(7-3) New Orleans Saints at
(3-7) Dallas Cowboys
This game is the most likely to end in an upset, but I’m not yet buying into all of the Jason Garrett hype. Two wins in a row is impressive, but let’s not get confused. Dallas has its issues. Jon Kitna isn’t going to play at a high level every outing. Today I’m expecting a few interceptions from a Saints defense that has been stellar this season. The reason they’re winning lately is because of Drew Brees and the explosiveness of the Saint offense. And against that Dallas secondary, that will continue.
(2-8) Cincinnati Bengals at
(8-2) New York Jets
A rematch of last year’s playoff drubbing, the Jets have picked up where they left off while the Bengals are crumbling. Mark Sanchez is coming of age this season, leading late comebacks in the past three contests. Where questions lie is on the defensive side of the ball, since the Jets are starting to give up points in bunches. As bad as the Bengals are, they can put up points when they feel like it. This could be closer than you’d think, but who’s going to pick against the Jets?
Eat hearty and enjoy the games! FOOTBALL!
