Pow!

Everybody’s talking about Pau’s monster game. ESPN’s JA Adande is reminding folks about the legacy of Lakers’ big men. A 36-point, 16-rebound, 8-assist, 3-block game will get people to notice. Kobe dropped 32 but shot a putrid 9-26. After the game, #24 talked about how he was the decoy and how the Lakers have a vicious 1-2 punch.

Here it is finally. After all these months of saying I’m going to write it, I’m finally getting it done. The timing is actually appropriate because Sam Cassell will shortly become very relevant again. Yesterday, the Clips finally gave in and waived Cassell, giving Sammy boy the golden opportunity to chase a championship with his buddy KG.

The votes are in and I have issues. No, I'm not talking presidential primaries. I'm referring to the naming of the NBA All-Star Game starters. The fans, for the most part, got it right but with one glaring omission. Chris Paul should be a starting guard on the Western Conference team when all-star weekend hits New Orleans on Feb. 17.

Yes, I’m an unashamed Lakers apologist. Perhaps the worst kind of sports fan. So shoot me or stop reading (just kidding, please soldier on). Last night Lebron James defended his home floor and put the “defensive stop” on Mr. Bryant. He dropped 33 points, 5 assists, 10 boards and threw in a block and a steal to boot. Amazing numbers no doubt.
