Albert Haynesworth

6 September 2010

That means former Pro Bowl defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth will have to play in the middle of that three man front or even some defensive end, something he was rather... reluctant to do. It's still uncertain whether Haynesworth will be active for the opener, but if the Skins' defense will succeed, he must be on the field. Washington has a stout linebacking unit featuring Rocky McIntosh, London Fletcher, Andre Carter and Brian Orakpo. Their secondary is formidable, if somewhat depleted. DeAngelo Hall and Carlos Rogers helm the corner positions while LaRon Landry lays the wood from his strong safety spot.

(It's a word, I swear.)

Veterans on the move?

Albert Haynesworth and Ben Roethlisberger have been mentioned as possibly being dangled in trade offers. While extremely unlikely that deals are made, if they are they will involved picks in the top ten, so keep an early eye peeled.

This week, their high-priced defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth was sent home from practice for being late. Now he's voicing his displeasure with Greg Blache's defensive scheme because its not tailored toward his talents. While I may not like his public display, I agree with the $100 million dollar man. What's the point of signing a defensive force if your scheme doesn't play to his strengths. Oh well. The next coach won't have that problem. Cowboys over Indians.

After losing Pro Bowl defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth to the Redskins, there is a big question mark on that defense that was so successful last season. Kerry Collins is another year older, but at least he has former Steeler Nate Washington and rookie Kenny Britt to throw to. Still, Tennessee’s running game must be the propeller of they are to make it back to the playoffs.

What better way to strengthen it than adding another hefty contract?

Possible solutions:
Albert Haynesworth: Talk about your pipedreams. Can you imagine an interior line featuring Haynesworth and Tommie Harris? I peed a little. Seriously though, Jerry Angelo and the money-hoarding McCaskey’s won’t touch him. His 15-16 million dollar price tag won’t be worth it to them.

oaches make mistakes.

Ironically on the 4th and 3 play, Titans star defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth was injured when his left leg was caught under the pile. A few of the Titans players said the Texans acted a little harsh during Haynesworth's injury. Why is this ironic? Because Haynesworth was the same player that had 'suspicious' hits against Texans quarterback Matt Schaub before last season in the same stadium! (Reliant Stadium). Official diagnosis of Haynesworth's injury has not been released, but the replay was not too pretty. Titans will need him by their first playoff game!

They should be ashamed.

The Titan defense is very impressive... only when Albert Haynesworth is playing. When he is in the game, no team can run on the Titans, he shuts everyone down. When Haynesworth is not on the field, the game becomes easier for the opposing team. When you match up Haynesworth and Kyle Vanden Bosh you have a pair of defenders that give the other team fits. They are extremely hard to beat and you don’t get a lot of opportunities to beat them when playing against them. The only problem is that the Titans have to find a way to play at a high level when Haynesworth is not on the field. His absence from the game can not be the only thing that is stopping the Titans from shutting down opposing offenses and making it further into the playoffs.
