him what he can get elsewhere when they already have Matt Forte,

LaDainian Tomlinson (San Diego), Brian Westbrook (Philadelphia)

These names have come a lot since their high-profile releases a few weeks ago. Both would have something to prove wherever they go, but they each have concerns. LT could simply be out of gas. After his fantastic record-setting TD season, he's gone downhill fast. Last year he was a ghost of the player he used to be. Westbrook suffered two concussions last season, but he's been given the clean bill of mental health. Unfortunately he's always been injury-prone, something we don't need from the guy who'd be spelling Forte. ve the chains consistently for Chicago to have a shot.

On defense, Chicago will not be looking at Brian Westbrook catching passes out of the backfield, as he will sit out with another concussion. Rashard Mendenhall has taken over for Willie Parker and is running away (pun SO intended) with the opportunity. Now Big Ben Roethlisberger isn't as pressured in the pocket.Denver’s defense will be hoping to rebound after being embarrassed by Baltimore last week, but the offense will have to put up points if they have any hope of stymieing the Steelers.

ues to play up to its excellent level, the progression of DeSean Jackson continues and running back Brian Westbrook can stay healthy a full season, then the Eagles can easily return to the top of the NFC East. If the Eagles are able to land a top-notch wide receiver in the off-season or make some other key moves, then a return to the Superbowl and possibly a win becomes more likely.
