Luke Walton

It pains me to say, but the most expendable person on the roster is Luke Walton, and yet, he will be the hardest of any player to move. I wrote a piece about the Suns last month that talked about shopping Boris Diaw. Apparently there is some mild interest for him in Toronto in exchange for T.J. Ford. Other than that, Diaw trade partners are non-existent.

The Lakers put another impressive, yet still somehow shaky victory over the Utah Jazz into the books and now sit on a cool 6-0 record in the 2007-08 playoffs. Not much to write about in their victory, because, well, they’re cruising but with rabid intensity.

e, with Odom in foul trouble, the other top performers were the Lakers small/power forward combo of Luke Walton and Vladimir Radmanovic.
Vlad Rad’s been cold this series (shooting under 40 percent), but like I mentioned earlier in this blog, he’s been getting more burn because he’s making other things happen. He has 8 assists in the two games to only a single turnover. Plus he’s still an outside threat, and once he finds his stroke (I’m predicting it will be tomorrow night in Denver), the Nuggets are going to have even more problems on their hands.

Andrew Bynum has reportedly been working out with Chris Mihm and could run through full practice as early as this week. This is great news. Also great news is the recent play of Lamar Odom. As discussed last week in this blog, Odom has finally started to play with a fire and confidence that has been sorely lacking from his all-around game. He’s shooting 86 percent in his last two games. He’s found a great rhythm playing with both Kobe and especially Gasol and has become deadly efficient.

ll likeabilty seem to have worn off on #24.
Think Kobe’s warming up to his teammates? Luke Walton recently said, “Kobe is a huge part of the team so the only way we can get closer is if he gets closer and he's definitely gotten closer to a bunch of the guys.”
