  He's the best player in the NBA right now.  But come on!!  Saying he's better than Michael Jordan?  Kobe wasn't even unanimous as the second-best shooting guard of all time in ESPN's recent voting.  I may be wrong, but I get the feeling that a lot of the bloggers here pay some attention to Bill Simmons, aka The Sports Guy.  He even voted Kobe third behind Jerry West.  http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime?page=dime-GreatestSGs

are all wired differently between the ears.  The easiest comparison is that of Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan.  The thing I loved about MJ was the feeling he gave me at the end of games - important games.  I think these feelings were shared by everyone else watching on TV, the arena crowd, his teammates, opposing team, coaches, refs, EVERYONE.  WE ALL KNEW MJ WAS TAKING THE LAST SHOT.  But despite this knowledge, and the opposing team scheming and planning everything around it, Jordan got the ball and made the shot.
