Wow, these Olympics have really been something huh? The first week was dominated by Michael Phelps, his 8 gold medals, his 7 world records, that fingernail finish, the come from behind in the 4X100 by Lezac. The second week was all about the American track and field team failing to come through and the Jamaican team, led by Usain Bolt, blowing past the competition.

Well, until last night’s beat down of the Spurs, in which Boris Diaw nearly dropped a triple double and Amare Stoudemire was held to single digit points, Phoenix championship hopes looked about as bright as Flava Flav.

The Lakers are the best team in the best conference in the history of the NBA.
Huh, that was my Bill Walton moment.
Bynum’s a beast.
And the best part is the Lakers don’t even need him to win a championship this year. I want him back for sure, but I’d rather he not risk anything. The Lakers are good enough to win it right now without him.
