Week one was insanely awesome. Can week two of the NFL season follow it up? We’ve got a shoot-out preparing in New England and Michael Vick night on Sunday Night Football. What else could you need? Here are some of the games to watch for in week two.
Opening Drive
18 September 2011
2 January 2011
(2-13) Carolina Panthers at
(12-3) Atlanta Falcons
This game could not be more of a mismatch… but it still holds the fate of the NFC’s all-important number one seed. If the Falcons lay an egg, then the Bears or Saints can take the top spot. I don’t see the makings of an upset here at all. The Falcons are coming off a tough loss and will be looking to rebound against a team with all sorts of problems. There shouldn’t be any drama at the top today.(11-4) Pittsburgh Steelers at

(5-8) Washington Redskins at
(4-9) Dallas Cowboys
Yep. Rex Grossman’s starting instead of Donovan McNabb today. Don’t ask me what Mike Shanahan is thinking. I find it hard to believe he legitimately thinks Grossman could be his starting quarterback next season. Likely he’s auditioning Rex to be the back-up again. Whatever the case, its clear McNabb won’t be back next season.(8-5) Jacksonville Jaguars at

(6-6) Oakland Raiders at
(7-5) Jacksonville Jaguars
While it may not be a glamorous contest, the Jaguars are still the AFC South leaders until someone gets past them. This is a meeting of two Jekyll and Hyde squads that are going to try and run the ball down each other’s throat. It’ll be a smash-mouth affair, but almost impossible to pick. I mean, which Raiders are going to show up?

In week 13 of the NFL season, we’re getting some dynamite primetime games. The rest of the schedule? Meh. Still, time to break it down.
(6-5) Jacksonville Jaguars at
(5-6) Tennessee Titans

17 September 2009
Carolina Panthers (0-1) at Atlanta Falcons (1-0)
What’s the over / under on Jake Delhomme interceptions in this NFC South match-up? I’m going to set that line at 2. Though after 9 picks (and 2 fumbles) in his last two games, I’m being generous. His leash could not be shorter. If Atlanta takes down the Panthers, they could share the division lead (or own it outright) after only two games. Expect heavy doses of both teams’ running attacks.
