On the injury side of things, Pisa Tinoisamoa returned to the line-up from knee surgery only to leave the field again due to a knee problem. Besides Pisa, the Bears emerged from this lackluster performance unscathed.

Linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa is listed as questionable for tonight’s game, but fully participated in practice all week. Hillenmeyer is expected to miss the game with his injured ribs, and DT Israel Idonije is questionable as well with a knee issue. Devin Hester and Johnny Knox were not even listed on the injury report, so expect to see Chicago’s two burners on the outside for Jay Cutler.

New linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa made a number of plays on the ball-carrier, cementing his status in the starting role. Kevin Payne deflected a key third-down throw by Eli Manning, showing off some new pass coverage skills.

Foremost among the newest faces is recently signed linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa, formerly of the St. Louis Rams. Pisa brings a wealth of experience and talent to the strong side, where he should beat out Nick Roach and Hunter Hillenmeyer for the starting job. Roach filled in when Hunter was injured last season, but neither player asserted themselves in the role. Tinoisamoa is coming off a regular season where he led the Rams with 104 tackles (88 solo) and added three sacks and two forced fumbles. Paired with Pro-Bowler Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher, Tinoisamoa makes Chicago’s linebacking unit one of the best in the NFL.
