Pistons

The Detroit Pistons sent the Lakers back to reality after easily winning at Staples Center on Friday, Nov. 14. I discovered three things from that game.

First, I discovered that the Lakers are far from a great defensive team. They are doing better on the defensive end this year, but I don't consider them a lock-down team like the

ar?), rallied to win 100-92.

Los Angeles moves on to take on either the Boston Celtics or Detroit Pistons in the NBA Finals while the Spurs go home to contemplate. the playoffs the home team is now 16-1.  16-1!!  The only team to win the veteran Detroit Pistons, who won at Orlando without Chauncey Billups.  The Celtics have gone from the best road team in the regular season (31-10) to possibly the worst in the playoffs (0-5).  Forget the two losses to the Cavaliers in the second round, how about the three losses to the Hawks in round one?  The Spurs looked old, washed-up and tired in the first two games of their series with the New Orleans Hornets but when they got home they easily tied the series at 2-2 with a couple of blow-outs.  We all knew the Jazz were very good at home but I can’t lie, I am shocked they held off the Lakers twice in the fourth quarter of close games.  Three of the four series are tied at 2-2 with game five on the horizon.  The home team should feel confident for the next game though, that’s for sure.

to the second round.  Except Toronto to give them a decent fight though.  Magic in 6

Pistons-76ers: I know the 76ers have beaten them this year and have looked really good in the second half.  I understand they play up-tempo and the “new” AI has become a very good offensive player.  I get the fact that Philly is coming in free and loose with nothing to lose.  And I can even see the argument that the
