Plaxico Burress

18 June 2009

eedy much?) I’ll run down the Bears’ options for you and why they’re available.

Plaxico Burress – In case you didn’t hear already, Burress shot himself in the leg with a firearm in a New York City club last season. He was unable to return for the rest of the year, which caused his Giants’ offensive production to drop significantly. Without his big-play threat, Eli Manning could not overcome Philadelphia’s stout defense, falling in the playoffs.

Each week I will answer questions submitted by my loyal readers.  I personally read every single email I receive.  I will pick out the best five or so to use for the weekly post, as I wont be able to answer all of them.  I will also answer one or two questions on my daily posts as well.  Now it’s time to open the mail!

uit in court for an injunction on the Sheriff’s ruling…good luck on that one!

Plaxico Burress was fined, suspended (without pay) for the remainder of the season (including the play-offs), and put on the non-football injury list by the Giants.  His days as a member of the New York Giants is numbered…and that’s the least of his worries!

rsquo;s job…not a pretty site in Cleveland!  Romeo…start packing!

Plaxico Burress posted $100,000 bail yesterday.  He is now back out on the streets until March 31, 2009…when he goes back in front of the Judge!  Unfortunately for Plaxico, Goodell won’t take as long to render judgment!  Plax…just stay inside your house!  Shop online if you get bored!

ears could use D-Mac’s services!

Short Shots:

Plaxico Burress…what the heck were you thinking?  You shot yourself, in the leg, with a gun, in a bar…come on dude!  Stupid…stupid…stupid!  He will surely be suspended for the remainder of the season and the play-offs.  Idiot!

Considering that the Giants won the Superbowl, I should probably shut my mouth, but Plaxico Burress aggravates me. I will never consider him an elite receiver until he does the things that those same elite recievers do every week. I will chose consistency over flash any day. If Plaxico can prove me wrong and produce every Sunday this year, he will have earned my respect. Amani Toomer will be a pass catcher on the opposite of Burress and although Amani is a talented receiver, he’s getting up there in age. He will still see the ball, but I think that we will see the offense start to open up a bit with more with passes to David Tyree, the Superbowl star that caught the improbable pass in the last two minutes of the game, & rookie Mario Manningham out of Michigan. The tight end situation is another that aggravates me about the New York Giants. Is Jeremy Shockey talented? Yes, no doubt. However, he gets in the way of the offense and he is too much of a hot head. This is not Shockey’s team. This is Eli’s team, however young Eli may be. Eli needs to be able to run the offense without Shockey getting in his head. If I were the Giants, I would trade Shockey and continue with Kevin Boss at tight end. They were a better team last year with Shockey injured and Boss at tight end.

3. Amani Toomer and Plaxico Burress: Toomer’s 38 yard catch with the acute awareness of his position was great! Buress scored the winning TD and you could just see the overwhelming feeling of gratitude hit him.
