Randy Moss

10 January 2010

e run, forcing an obviously injured Tom Brady into dangerous situations against the Ravens defense. Randy Moss was a non-factor. Belichick's defense was unprepared and over-matched physically. That's the story of their season.

I don't think it will be a steep drop-off in production. Randy Moss should see all the double coverage he can handle. Back Laurence Maroney has come on in the second half of the year to bring a running game back to New England. For all the offensive talent, the Patriots' defense has been the problem all year. Young, inconsistent and inexperienced, the secondary has made too many mistakes. They aren't pressuring opposing quarterbacks. It's difficult to win in the postseason with that combination.

14 December 2009

All this talk about Randy Moss "giving up" and quitting on the field is nothing new. It's just new to New England. Benching Adalius Thomas is exactly what I expected from Bill "Control Freak in a Hoodie" Belichick. They're certainly not the elite team everyone expected them to be.

Lucky for him he has Randy Moss and Wes Welker as receivers. This is without question the game of the weekend.

Happy times in Denver.

Plenty of drama in a weekend that saw one team break a 19-game losing streak and another keep their undefeated streak going. Let’s start the Final Drive of week 3!

(1-2) Detroit Lions 19 (1-2) Washington Redskins 14

.2 yards per reception…not too shabby for an old man!  His numbers were very similar to Randy Moss (69 REC, 1008 YDS, 11 TDs, and 14.6 YPR), but nobody is giving him a hard time?  Tank Johnson was somewhat of a disappointment, but that’s on the field.  He has done nothing as far as any off the field issues.  And what other troublemakers?

Returning to the team is Wideout Randy Moss. Moss had arguably the best season of his career last year, catching a record 23 touchdowns out of Tom Brady’s record 50. Also returning to the offense is slot receiver Wes Welker. I love me some Wes Welker. He’s got all the talent to bring the Patriots back to the big game. Welker had a breakout season last year and will continue to be the go to guy for Tom Brady. With weapons like these, how can Brady and the Patriots not make it back to the Superbowl?

ps the runs!)? Should Shaun Alexander push infant products since he seems to burp the baby so well? Randy Moss probably already pledges his locks to some hair-care company, doesn't he?

Fantasy Football.

I like it. I play it. I read Matthew Berry's columns. This is my ode to him while trashing the guys in my league. Enjoy.

He was no Randy Moss, then again he also was no Randy Moss! John Taylor, Roger Craig and Tom Rathman were studs.

How about Bo Jackson? What a player. There won't be another like him.

Walker, who could come somewhat cheap due to lingering health problems.

On a side note, Randy Moss just signed a three-year deal worth about $27 million to stay with the Pats. Apparently the reason it took so long was because he requested it in straight cash, homey.

22 February 2008

Which means that his contract expires on February 28, 2008. Which also means that the star receiver is free to sell his services to any team in the league, including the Patriots. However, there is reason to belive that Moss and the Patriots are interested in reaching an accord that will enable Moss to end his career in a New England uniform. Technically speaking, the 2007 NFL season ends on Thursday, February 2008. Until then, the two sides are unable to consummate a long-term deal and Moss could conceivably sign with another team without that team having to offer the Pats compensatory draft picks. The primary allure for Moss to remain in New England - Tom Brady. If and when a new deal is reached, it's official announcement is expected on or after February 29, 2008. See story link below:

Or maybe even people would tune in to see the dream combo of Tom Brady throwing deep downfield to Randy Moss. Oh wait, that’s the Patriots…dammit. But I can’t find one person who actually watches the game. And I know several NFL fans.
