It seems that John Swofford, the coordinator of the BCS did not really enjoy his time in front of Congress as some of them did not have kind words for him. Many things such as BS instead of BCS came out of their mouths fueling the fire what many college football fans are feeling about this system that we have to pick a National Champion. For the longest time I was for a playoff format, but I have thought a lot about it and I do agree a little bit with John Swofford, but not totally.

her World Series victory and a candy bar aptly named after the man himself.

1986 – As if Red Sox fans hadn’t suffered enough, Bill Buckner’s gaffe is another image ingrained in baseball history.  With a two out, two run, one game lead, Boston seemed poised to remove the Curse of the Bambino, until Mookie Wilson’s grounder dribbled between Buckner’s legs, giving the Mets the victory and chance to play Game Seven which they ultimately won.

Pow!

Everybody’s talking about Pau’s monster game. ESPN’s JA Adande is reminding folks about the legacy of Lakers’ big men. A 36-point, 16-rebound, 8-assist, 3-block game will get people to notice. Kobe dropped 32 but shot a putrid 9-26. After the game, #24 talked about how he was the decoy and how the Lakers have a vicious 1-2 punch.

t fight your way onto the stage.

Then there's the 37 year-old Doug Mirabelli, The Boston Red Sox back up catcher.  The Sanfrancisco Giants selected him out of Witchital State in 1992.  He was touted as a good catcher with some pop in his bat.  Up until the last 3 years or so, I'd say he sort of fit that description.  He did a good job behind the plate with or without Wakerfield, and he took one out of the yard every now and then.  I'll painfully admit that we do still need him to catch Wake, especially after seeing what happened a couple of years ago when Mirabelli went to the San Diego Padres.
