Sam Cassell

Who would I like to see for the last two roster spots? On solely a personal level, Sam Cassell. This is 99.9 percent not likely to happen, though, wouldn’t that be something if he came to L.A. and won a championship after beating them in the finals the year before?

Again, can’t help but be happy for him.
And of course, there’s my boy Sam Cassell. Sam-I-Am, though not a big time contributor on the court in these finals (we did see about 5 minutes of vintage Sam in game one), put his stamp on the team with his veteran leadership. When they would show close-ups of the Celtics huddles during time-outs, there was Sammy boy, all up in Rondo’s or KG’s or whoever’s face. “This is what we’re here for. This is the ***king finals! Make it happen!”

The timing is actually appropriate because Sam Cassell will shortly become very relevant again. Yesterday, the Clips finally gave in and waived Cassell, giving Sammy boy the golden opportunity to chase a championship with his buddy KG.

who don't know who I'm talking about, first of all, shame on you, and second, that would be Sam Cassell of the Los Angeles Clippers who dropped a cool 32 points, 6 boards and 7 assists on the Phoenix Suns last night. And thanks to my Aunt and Uncle, I was able to have excellent seats at the game.
