Who am I?
I am a 'Soccer Mom' to 2 boys (13 & 12) and spend all my weekends at sporting events of some type. A former basketball player & cheerleader, I eventually went on to coaching cheerleading, dance & college level cheerleading - before being introduced to my new best friend - my Orthodeodic Doctor!
I have been playing fantasy football in all male leagues for the past decade, and embaressing the 'boys' - ha ha. I frequently share tip advice with perfect strangers!
My day job - a grant writer and owner of my own business, writing grants for fire departments, towns and non-profits all over the country! It has enabled me to travel and see tons of cities and visit stadiums and parks and see games I never would have gotten to see! When in Rome...you are a fan of the Romans...

Matt Schaub and John McCain? posted on 10/14/2008
Senator John McCain & Governor Sarah Palin spoke yesterday (Monday) at a Rally in Virginia. One quote of special interest,"We have them right where we want them," Senator John McCain stated to a large Military-based crowd. This message sounds quite a bit like what Quarterback Matt Schaub (Houston Texans) rallied his team, down 14-3, Sunday at HOME against the Dolphins. Schaub faced chants of "SAGE, SAGE" (his BACK-UP QB) in the huddles by the home crowd.
Nevertheless, he faced his offense, looked them in the eyes and repeated the same statement Sen. McCain said today, "Boys, We have them right where we want them...".
They preceded the long task of coming back. With a TD ran in by the QB himself, with only 3 SECONDS left - Schaub did indeed deliver the FIRST WIN OF THE YEAR. Proving that grace, poise, class and style never go, well, out of style. A lesser QB, a more immature QB would have crumbled under those odds. Folks, this is a true leader. A role model for kids to look up to and us not have to be embarrassed about.
