Tigers take two from Twins

After a shaky start to the season the Detroit Tigers seem to have finally come to life. After beating the Twins 11-9 yesterday the Tigers made it two straight with a 6-5 victory tonight.

Everyone had a feeling the bullpen could be a sore spot for the Tigers but when they started the season struggling to score runs most everybody had to be shocked. Three of the Tigers biggest bats entered the two game series with the Twins hitting around .200 but Cabera, Pudge, and Shef seem to be hitting their stride now and it couldn't have come at a better time. In the two game series the struggling trio went a combined 8 for 22 with 3HRs and 7RBIs. The Tigers open a two game series in Cleveland tomorrow and it should be a good indicator of where both teams are at this early in the season.
